What we've been up to

So for some reason I downloaded a lot of photos off my camera onto the computer. And it was fun looking at them, and I realized that we've been doing a lot of stuff lately. Since Christmas we've dedicated Little Baby at church, celebrated Baby's birthday, and gone on two camping trips. Yes, you read that right, it was not a typo. We've gone on TWO camping trips. One with kids, one without. For a gal who prefers warm showers and feather beds, this was quite an adventure. And I'll even do it again! It's not like I've never been camping, it just didn't sound like a whole bunch of fun with a baby. But now since we've got a big 4 year old, she was ready for camping, and Little Baby had to just go along for the ride. Anyway, here are some pics. Two big events coming up next are my first Tupperware party and Little Baby's birthday! Always something going on.

Communication

Little Baby is communicating! I'm pretty sure that he has been saying "more" for awhile. At dinner time. But last night he crawled over to me, pulled himself up, looked at me, and said...no kidding..."Mama." And then he turned and looked at Hubby and said, "Dada." And we both heard it and our eyes lit up in recognition, so it's gotta be true! Such a sweet time for parenthood. And then this morning while Little Baby was gorging himself at breakfast he not only said more, but he also signed it. He wanted more strawberries. We've had feeding problems with him all along because he gags and chokes so much, but he's finally made the transition and is starting table food. At over 11 months old, I say it's finally time!

And of course this is a special weekend, and we are celebrating Easter. Baby and I spent the morning coloring eggs, and later we'll take the family to church for a silent communion. Not sure how silent it will be with the kids, but we'll keep it holy and praise Jesus for what He has done for all of us! Amen!

Ready---oh my

Oh my. What have I done?! What have I gotten myself into?! Tupperware, my friends. It's Tupperware. I know you're probably scratching your head, wondering if the stuff still exsists. And yes, my friends. It does. Very much so. And they need suckers, I mean, fabulous people, like me to sell it.

I'm oddly excited about it. I never ever ever thought I would get involved with anything like this. I don't particuarlly like selling things. But this is actually more than selling for me. It's about a project of my own, a way to meet others, and besides...Tupperware is a super product that I might not otherwise be able to afford!

So for the past few weeks I've been checking into it, ordering my kit, getting everything set up. And I'm to the point that I'm ready to share my Tupperware blog and online store. I haven't had my first party yet...that's coming up in a few weeks. Anywho...check out the blog and store at www.mommastupperware.com I've still got work to do making the pages pretty, but I'll get there.

Don't worry, I'm gonna try real hard not to become that annoying lady always bugging you to host a party or something. I want this to be fun...for everyone. So come laugh along with me (I still chuckle everytime I talk about it!)...and buy some Tupperware while you're at it ;-)

Rainy Day

So, the day didn't actually end up being rainy, but it started out that way. And outside was wet and windy, so not a good day to be outdoors. By 9 AM we had made waffles, colored, painted, and washed coins. It's gonna be a long day.

I found this quote in my "Rainy Day Play" chapter of by busy toddler book, and it just made me laugh out loud!

"The mothers agree that indeed the years do fly, It's the days that don't. The hours, minutes of a single day sometimes just stop. And a mother finds herself standing in the middle of a room wondering. Wondering. Years fly. Of course they do. But a mother can gag on a day." Jain Sherrard

Say it, sista!
