Somebody help me! Help me, help me! Last night Baby wandered outta her room asking for me to turn on her fan. It's warmed up in these parts and we don't have our AC on yet, so I happily obliged. I would then normally shoot right back outta her room to continue enjoying the precious few grown up moments Hubby and I have, but for some reason I felt like snuggling a bit with her. So I laid down for a bit in her bed, but before my head hit the pillow, oh, momma! The questions started:
-"Mudder, can you tell me how the world works?" My personal favorite, and the one she started with. Yikes! Sorry, Baby, I know no such thing. But God does. He created every living thing and has a plan for each and every one of us.
-"When will I be pregnant?" Say who?! Say what?! Guess it's from all the preggers around her. Seriously. It's just the stage of life we are in. If I know you, you are either pregnant, recently pregnant, or about to become pregnant (so, prepare yourselves, gals!). When you are MARRIED! You have to have a husband before you can become pregnant, and God will find one for you.
-"Did it hurt when I came out of your body?" Uh, no Baby. (Course we didn't talk about epidurals, but NO, felt no pain!). Lawdy Lawdy, so glad the "HOW" did I come out question didn't happen...this time.
-"When will I be a grandma and go to heaven and meet God?" My sweet child. In eighty years (84 seems old enough to me right now. I won't be around then).
-"But will I have gray hair?" Yes. "But I don't want to have gray hair." Don't worry Baby, you don't have to. You can color it."But can I have pink hair now?" No.
And then I wrapped it up. Good night, Baby Doll. I love you, see you in the morning time.
I created this blog as a way to connect with "Hubby/Daddy" as he spent time serving our country in Iraq. He's been home for 8 years but the good 'ole US has called him into service again. I'm dusting this old blog off and using it again-mostly to communicate with him. Enjoy!

So Much
So much to say. I've been meaning to sit down and write, butttt....instead I do something else. So, last week was spring break. I think one of my friends said it best, "I thought spring break was going to be fun. But instead all activities are cancelled and everywhere is super crowded." Ah, so true. But we actually did have lots of fun. It did make for a long week, though. We started out at the children's museum with the dinosaur exhibit. Us and half of big D. Our other big outing was the zoo. This Momma got something right (for once?) and managed to get us there at 9:07, 7 minutes after it opened. And we STILL had to wait to park! Once we got in, it was crowded, but fun. Since we have a season pass (thanks, 'rents!), I didn't feel pressured to stay too long or try to see it all. We basically rode the carousel (twice), looked at the elephants and giraffes, and ate our lunch. It was a nice day out, and we even made it back home in time for naps. Poor Little Baby was all sorts of worn out since he didn't have his morning nap. And as I was rocking him, I was thinking how much I love this. Love being a mom to little kiddos. I'm sure I'll love being a mom to big kiddos and grown up kiddos, too. But this SAHM gig is pretty nice. Trips to the zoo, rocking babies to sleep. I hope I remember to savor the moments. And with the weather warming up, I'm really loving it. We are outside so much. I just love these long days, smelling like outside, letting the kids get all kinds of dirty playing in the sand, water, mud...
So let's see. News. At 10 months old, Little Baby FINALLY is getting his 2 lower teeth. He's been a trooper, and not too fussy about it. That kid really gets me. He just squeals and giggles and grins. Not at all like me ;-) Baby and I are much too serious. It's nice to have someone lighthearted around! I hope I don't make him grumpy.
Baby is starting to enjoy being a big sister, now. And OK, fine. She isn't a Baby anymore, but that's just what she's called. I can't go switching names of the "characters" can I?! So, anyway. She just loves to tickle and squeeze Little Baby. I kinda get why people have their kids closer in age now. I mean...built in playmate, awesome. I gotta admit I'm not really that good at playing.
Mmm...What else. I dunno. Guess that's it for now. I've got a few cute pics of the kids (surprise), but that would mean I'd have to find the camera, download, upload...well. You get the idea. Too lazy!
