Momma is...

a terrible housekeeper.

Facebook. The social networking I love to hate. All day I have a running commentary about what my status might be, but I seldom post it mostly because very few people would actually care that:

-I'm about to shove as many cookies in my mouth as possible before the baby wakes
-both of my kids are sleeping and I choose to...clean the house?!?!?!
-it's only 8 AM and I've already put in a full days work
-the only exercise I get these days is scooping out cookie dough to make said cookies above
-needs a housekeeper
-does not aspire to be a good housekeeper
-thinks that if she is gonna be remembered for some domestic chore would rather it be...my, she made great pies, rather than, my her house sure was clean
-wants to fast forward 30 years (sorta)
-needs a vacation!
-wants a date night with hubby
-wonders who will help me wear my backpack today?
-loves dancing with her 3 year old in the bathroom! Sorry you're getting all my dance moves, Baby.
-Just ate three cookies
-Wonders if she'll ever lose the baby weight?
-Thinks it's too much trouble to diet
-What in the world is for dinner tonight?!
-Does anyone else have as hard a time at this parenting business?
-Please send me your babysitter/nanny recommendations
-Wants to move (sorta)
-Thinks she could never give up dairy
-Thinks she should just s-t-o-p reading parenting books. It's impossible to "go by the book" because they all say different things!
-Knows that her Little Baby won't be sleeping in the swing as a 12 year old.
-Wishes she could "go with the flow" a little more easily
-Wonders why, oh why, am I going to wake Little Baby up to feed him??
-Is going to eat just "one more cookie"
-Is tired

Kickin' it Old School

So my mom recently purged her home of some of my belongings from childhood and off loaded them onto me. Goody. Like my own clutter isn't enough! Kidding, mom (uh, sorta). Well, in her defense she doesn't own a RECORD PLAYER any more, and we do. And until only a few weeks ago we owned a VCR! I actually directed Hubby to throw it in the trash. We are terrible at keeping stuff (junk) that seems too good to throw away but isn't really of use any more. Like a VCR. I figured no one else really wanted it either, so into the trash it went. Oh, but back to the record player, which didn't make it to the trash this time. Mom kept all these records from when I was 3, and Baby loves them! She's been listening to them for an hour now! And even singing along. These records, tho, are sorta inconvenient. They don't play very long before demanding to be turned. And there isn't a remote! Makes it a little difficult of an activity when I'm nursing Little Baby. But we make it. So, Mom, thanks for passing off your junk, uh I mean, treasures to me.

As I type Little Baby is starting up his ritual screaming/crying. I'm not gonna type much about it because it makes me very anxious. Let's just say that yesterday I had to pass him off to Hubby because I wanted to, "Squash him like a bug." If you fall into any of the categories below you won't understand:
1. Don't have children
2. Have children but they are either easy or even normal
3. Have children but it was so long ago you can't remember a thing about this dark period of time called infant

But if you are one of the "lucky" few who are in my category, you get it!

On a more positive note, Little Baby slept from midnight until 5 AM! Not too bad...
