What's that?

It was bound to happen. I'm just surprised that it took so long! So Little Baby isn't really to the point where he can take a bath in the big tub, but I decided to dip him in it anyway. Mostly b/c Hubby was working late and I thought Little Baby might like to get his toes wet while Baby was in the bath, just for something to pass a little time. And well, as long has he was getting his toes wet, he might as well get all the way in, right? It had been a good long while since he had a bath anyway. So, there is Little Baby all necked in the tub and I'm holding him up and ask Baby to wash him (she is quite good with washing herself, why not have her wash the baby??). She's washing and gets to the part of the body that is quite different than hers and says, "Mom, what's that?". To which I reply the proper name of what makes a boy a boy. And she says, "No it isn't!". And I just left it at that. Although it make me chuckle inside! Glad that's as hard as the questions are, for now anyway.

Special Day

Baby and I had a special day yesterday because Little Baby had his first day in a mother's day out program! Isn't that silly? Well, only not THAT silly because this Momma is a better momma when she gets a few kid free hours. Little Baby did just fine, expect for the fact his teachers feed him too much and he got all off his schedule. Ah, but I suppose that's almost to be expected and worth it anyway.

So Baby has this week off from school, and she starts a new pre-school program next week. We got to do some fun things, starting with a haircut. I take her to this kiddie place and she gets to watch TV and eat a sucker while getting her hair cut. Sounds pretty good to me. Maybe they will cut my hair next time, too :). Oh, and they end the cut with a toy from a machine that makes this cool sound, so Baby has great fun with the whole thing.

Next we did something sorta phunny. There is this apartment complex we've driven by at least a hundred times that has these huge art deco murals painted on the side of the building. Baby has mentioned several times that she wanted to go inside and I had intended to take her before Little Baby arrived, but...it just didn't happen. So I thought we'd finally go. I've explained many times what an apartment is, but I thought it might be fun for her to tour the model. Anyway, we went inside and I talked to one of the leasing agents and they agreed to show her a 2 bedroom apartment. Oh, what fun Baby had looking at the "little house"! And I gotta say...that "little house" had awesome closets. Way bigger than the ones in my 1962 built home. Might be interested in moving into one of those little houses...

For lunch Baby suggested we have hot dogs. Wow. That was surprising. So we went to a local hot dog and custard joint, where again Baby had a super time. She even shared some of her peppermint custard with me. After lunch we made a quick trip to the grocery store. Oddly Baby has been asking to go to the grocery store with me. Maybe because I hardly ever take her anymore if I don't have to. Anyway, she got her wish and we went to the grocery store just before it was time to go get Little Baby. Whew. What a fun and busy day!

PS: ok, blogger is giving me fits with this whole photo upload thing. obviously I posted the same photo twice but I can't figure out how to delete the extra. ah....!
