Parade

Ok, there are about a hundred million things (emotions) I could write about from the past month, but I don't want to. I'll sum it up by saying I've had a hard time transitioning to my lovely new updated home in a nice neighborhood. But it is starting to feel a little bit more like home, and I'm sure I'll settle in at some point.
But let me get to the parade. It's funny, sorta. I mean, how many people have been in your master bath? In my previous home, exactly zero neighbors had been in my master bath. Maybe because it was nothing special. Even the mom down the street who was chummy with me didn't get a look. But here, just knock on my door and I'm whisking you away to my master bath. I know for sure that at least 5 neighbors have been in my bathroom as well as many friends. It's starting to get weird to me, now that we are living here. The first week or so wasn't too weird, but I'm thinking I'm about to cut off the tours, so if you wanna check it out, ya better get on this parade soon. It's not like I have a tidy home or anything, so I'm having to kick laundry aside and hope no one notices the unmade bed.
OK, so that's weird enough. But maybe not so crazy since everyone knows we did a lot of updating and they want to check out the changes. Not like they knew it before, but still. What could possibly be a little stranger, is that I've been in two of my neighbors master baths! What is the deal with this neighborhood? Isn't the master bedroom and bath a very private area?! It's nice everyone is so friendly, but I do find it a little odd. So our new next door neighbors caught us outside and offered to let the children come in (background...I had previously mentioned I wanted Baby to be comfortable with coming to them in an emergency, so they really are just being good neighbors). I of course came too. They have just recently finished a remodel, and they were happy to have us take a look around. I felt a little voyeur like, so I was trying to respect space, when they just took us right in the master area! I must say, we did a nice job on our house, but whoa...buy their house, not ours, if it ever comes on the market! So then I felt compelled to have them come look at mine. Anywho, we've also had a tour of the house behind us. Nice to be in a friendly area, but it makes me chuckle too!
